TRIBAL MINISTRY

India has one of the largest tribal population in the world. More than 7% of the total population are Tribals. We have about 430 tribal groups having almost 1700 tribal languages. Forty percent of our churches in North India are among the various tribal groups in the states of Orissa, Assam, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Arunachal, border areas of Bhutan Sikkirn and also in Nepal. People are turning to the Lord in large numbers. Towards this ‘Tribal Missions India’ has been set up as a separate wing under IPCNR to present the claims of Christ to the Tribals of India and promote their wholistic development.
